Zinc plating

Zinc plating is used on steel substrates to prevent corrosion. It is used widely in many industries and provides outstanding metal distribution and uniform covering. Zinc can be used as a final finish or a base for primary finishes. Zinc can be passivated in either trivalent or hexavalent, clear, yellow, black or olive drab, to further enhance the corrosion protection of the zinc.

Zinc nickel coating

Zinc nickel alloy provides an excellent level of corrosion protection especially under high temperatures. It is used extensively in the automotive and aviation industries. The corrosion protect can be enhanced with either, clear, colour or black trivalent or hexavalent passivate.

What are the advantages of zinc nickel plating?

  • Finish is ROSH compliant
  • Performs to AMS 24147
  • Corrosion protection is: 480 to 1000 hours to red corrosion salt spray
  • Temperature resistant
  • Ductile
  • Abrasion resistant
